We’re Convinced Taylor Swift Just Dropped A Major Hint At The Yankees Game

The NFL’s favorite cheerleader, Taylor Swift, touched down in NYC and decided to spend the evening watching America’s favorite pastime, just like the rest of us.

On Monday, October 14th, she and boyfriend Travis Kelce went to see the New York Yankees in action against the Cleveland Guardians, and naturally, cameras and onlookers had a field day. (Don’t worry: the Yanks won the the ALCS opener 5-2.) Following her evening stint in the Bronx, the singer revealed on Tuesday, October 15th, that she’ll be releasing her first book chronicling her experience on the Eras tour.

As any Swiftie knows well, the pop-country sensation loves dropping Easter eggs, and we have a very strong feeling she was dangling one before us right in the middle of the Bronx Bombers’ big game. Hear us out, folks.

Did Taylor Swift just drop at major hint at the Yankees game?

Taylor and Trav dressed for a cold night in the Bronx — hey, NY got its first snow already — in dark black coats and black baseball caps, a rather subdued look for the novice sports fan who typically comes decked out to games in attire that gets the entire world talking. What does this quiet, unexpected look mean? If you ask us, we think this is Taylor trying to tell us she’s a Mets fan.

Think about it: Grimace, the Mets’ good luck charm, is definitely in his Speak Now era, sporting one of Taylor’s go-to colors. When Taylor attended the U.S. Open, honey deuce at hand, she was visibly perkier, snapping photos and being silly with her beau and his friends, fellow Kansas City Chiefs teammate Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany. But in the Bronx, Tay looks a little reserved. Could it possibly be that she would’ve preferred a game at Citi Field?

The jury’s still out on the star’s baseball allegiance, but if you’re a fan of the kings of Queens, check out the Mets’ schedule and wish ’em luck.
