This NYC Tattoo Shop Is Offering To Cover Ex-Inspired Tattoos For Free This Valentine’s Day
They say NYC is the best city in the world to meet your soulmate–especially at these spots–but the amount of us New Yorkers that have downright terrible dating stories beg to differ.
And if beyond the PTSD-inducing story you’ve also been left with a permanent (ink) reminder of an ex, then boy do we have some good news for you–you can apply to get your ex-inspired tattoos covered up for free this Valentine’s Day!
According to a recent study by Tinder, 52% of singles have tattoos they’d like to cover up or remove due to their ties to an ex, and if you’re one of them, this is your chance to reclaim your skin!
Tinder has launched their Ink Twice campaign across the US, partnering with tattoo shops in major cities like Austin, Miami, and Los Angeles, and NYC tattoo shop Inked NYC is joining in on the fun!
Melissa Hobley, Chief Marketing Officer at Tinder stated:
We all know someone who’s expressed their love in a bold and permanent way, from matching tattoos, to symbolic designs that hold secret meanings. But tattoos are permanent and your love for someone can end. We created Ink Twice to help surveyed singles who feel self-conscious about a tattoo from a former relationship. We want them to feel empowered to explore all the possibilities of a new dating journey, especially if your Valentine crush turns into something a bit more special.
Interested singles can learn more about the campaign and submit their application here by Friday, February 16th.
Those selected for a cover up will be notified by Tuesday, February 20th and, following a successful consultation with Inked NYC, will have three months to schedule their free cover-up.
