This Magical 13,000-Square-Foot Holiday Experience Will Give You Access To The Northern Lights

If you didn’t catch this October’s impressive geomagnetic storm, you can still sneak a peak at Aurora Borealis this holiday season at HERO in Midtown.

Thanks to “WINTER WONDER: The Northern Lights Express” At Rockefeller Center, visitors will have an opportunity to wander through 11 immersive rooms — 13,000 square feet in total — to admire the spectacle. Even better? No need to hop aboard a flight to Norway to see ’em in action.

Visitors do, however, have to hop aboard a train within the exhibit that takes guests of all ages through snow-covered environments until reaching the final destination: the Northern Lights. Along the way, guests will make a pitstop at ice caves, where crystalline caverns and arctic animals are waiting, refuel with sweets at the Hot Cocoa Chalet, and venture into a life-sized gingerbread house to craft holiday ornaments. And that’s only to name a few exciting features.

The immersive experience will also offer plenty of fun activities to boot: story times for the tots, trivia nights, bingo, and happy hours for the 21+ crowd, truly making this holiday event in NYC one for the books. Plus, the Northern Lights are one of everyone’s favorite Instagrammable moments, even if they haven’t seen them for themselves. Why not indulge while you can? (Well, sort of!)

The wintery goodness kicks off on Saturday November 30th and runs until January. You won’t want to miss a sight like this — trust us. Visit hero-nyc.com for more information about reserving a spot, fun activities happening in the experience throughout the season, and more.
