Techno Queen Charlotte de Witte To Bring KNTXT Takeover To NYC This Week
After Mochakk’s incredible NYC takeover last week, another superstar DJ is set to take the Big Apple by storm this week…techno titan Charlotte de Witte.
This week’s epic takeover, under the guise of her techno label and concept KNTXT, comes off the back of last year’s extremely successful event series which included a pop-up shop, 2 SOLD OUT shows at Brooklyn Mirage and a guerilla-style surprise performance that closed down Orchard Street.
Back by popular demand for 2024, and to celebrate the release of her highly-anticipated “Roar” EP and latest track “How You Move”, she’s planning more high-octane activations to engage fans this week.
The first portion of de Witte’s takeover comes in the form of a pop-up shop yet again in collaboration with LES staple Extra Butter. It’ll be open from June 21 – 23 and feature a special EXTRA BUTTER X KNTXT capsule collection as well as a super limited-edition KNTXT NYC Bomber Jacket (only 20 made).
Alongside hot new merch, she’ll be teaming up with THE SKATEROOM to present a new art collaboration on different skate decks which are inspired by her upcoming music and will be available for purchase.
In terms of performances, fans will get multiple opportunities to catch her on the decks, starting with a surprise performance/block party on June 20 from 7 – 8 pm! She’ll be shutting down (125) Orchard Street once again to test out some new tunes and get the crowd dancing.
To close out the weekend, she’ll be hosting a label KNTXT showcase at the brand new Brooklyn Storehouse, with an electrifying lineup of herself, Hiroko Yamamura, AIROD, and Alignment.
