Stinky Pup? Wash ‘Em Off At NYC’s New Dog Wash Vending Machine
We love our furry friends but let’s not lie, they can get pretty stinky! And since cleaning them in an already too small NYC apartment can be a nightmare, New York City developer TF Cornerstone (TFC) is here to save you some of the stress.
A state-of-the-art self-service dog washing station is now one of the many quirky amenities at TFC’s 606 W57 building, overseen by Throw Me A Bone, Manhattan-based full-service pet care company. The dog wash vending machine, iClean Dog Wash, comes from the world’s leading self-serve dog wash manufacturer.
After so much residential amenities cater towards the human residents, TFC thought it was important to look out for the four-legged companions too. Since pet ownership has skyrocketed following the pandemic and a brand new dog park just opened at 595 Dean St, there was no better time and place to launch iClean Dog Wash.
iClean International initially primarily focused on car washing before expanding its product range to dog washing in 2008.
According to iClean Dog Wash, the units are as simple as “plug and play.” They’re apparently maintenance free and only require a floor or wall drain, a cold-water line and an outlet.
The unit is complete with bathing areas, retainers for pet security, methods to accept payments, automatic shampoo dispensers, a shower and a touch screen to select which program you’d like for your dog.
Currently, iClean Dog Wash machines are being used worldwide. For U.S. locations, you can expect to find them at certain vet clinics, gas stations, and laundromats.
