Slurp Down Multi-Colored Soup Dumplings In The East Village Soon

Popular Queens restaurant, Nan Xiang Xiao Long Bao, is expanding yet again into Manhattan, with an East Village location set to open its doors this March. The beloved establishment most recently opened its newest location in Koreatown back in the summer of 2022. The East Village restaurant will be the third NYC location, and second in Manhattan.

Nan Xiang Xiao Long Bao is often revered for its pastel perfect soup dumplings, known as the “Lucky Six Soup Dumplings.” The dumplings range in shades from yellow to green, offering a variety of flavors including pork, crab meat & pork, chicken, scallop & pork, black truffle & pork, and gourd luffa with shrimp & pork.

The original Flushing location first opened in 2006. Its name comes from the birthplace of soup dumplings, Nan Xiang County in Shanghai, China. It has been a Michelin-Recommended Shanghainese restaurant for the last nine consecutive years.

The East Village location will be found at 15 St. Marks Place. Iron, lime soil, and paint will be used in the transformative interior design to portray mountains of the region.
