Production For The New Bruce Springsteen Movie Starring Jeremy Allen White Is Casting Extras

If you ever wanted to appear on the big screen now’s your chance–production for the new movie Deliver Me from Nowhere, about Bruce Springsteen, is looking for extras to appear in the movie. Even more, you’d be starring alongside Jeremy Allen White!

Written and directed by Scott Cooper, Deliver Me from Nowhere is a musical biopic that follows the making of Springsteen’s 1982 album Nebraska which he recorded in his makeshift bedroom studio in Colts Neck, New Jersey. The Bear’s Jeremy Allen White will portray a young Springsteen in the movie, which is set to film in New Jersey beginning this fall and extend into early 2025.

Beyond Jeremy Allen White, Succession’s Jeremy Strong will play Springsteen’s manager Jon Landau and Peaky Blinders’ Stephen Graham will play Springsteen’s father, Douglas “Dutch” Springsteen.


The production is looking for children ages 3 to 17 and adults of all ages and ethnicities to head to Morris County on November 22nd to film scenes set in the early ’80s. They’re also looking for adults of all ages and ethnicities and children 6 to 12 years old to film scenes set in the ’50s and early ’80s in Asbury Park, Springsteen’s famous hangout, on December 9th to 13th and December 16th.

Early next year they’re looking for people of all ethnicities, aged 18 to 30, to film scenes set in the early ’80s in the Meadowlands on January 9th and 10th, 2025. Finally, they’re looking for drivers with cars from the ’50s, ’60s, ’70s, and ’80s, up until 1981, for scenes in Asbury Park on December 9th to 13th and December 16th.

Those interested in the casting calls should send an email to husker@gwcnyc.com, with the location of the scenes you’re applying for in the subject line, with the following information:

  • Your name
  • Contact information
  • Height
  • Weight
  • Clothing and shoe size
  • Whether or not you’re SAG-AFTRA
  • Current photos

Those looking to be in the car scenes should also include the year, make, model, and color of the car along with photos of it. Parents submitting for their children must include the kids’ ages.
