Popular Filipino Fast Food Chain, Jollibee, To Open Its First Brooklyn Location
Filipino fast food chain, Jollibee, is opening its first-ever Brooklyn location this fall, according to a listing on its website as reported by Eater.
Apparently the new hub for fried chicken and Jolly Spaghetti will take over 5212 Kings Highway. The Brooklyn location will be the chain’s fifth NYC outpost, with two already in each borough of Manhattan and Queens. However, the restaurant did sign a lease last February for a third Queens location, which would bring Jollibee’s count in NYC to a total of six.
It’s most recent opening was the Times Square flagship, home to exclusive menu items like Mandarin Orange Crispy Chicken Salad and Baked Cheddar Mac ‘n Cheese.
According to the listing, the Brooklyn Jollibee will open in September 2023, just before the opening of the highly-anticipated Wegmans in the East Village.
Jollibee is the largest and fastest growing Asian restaurant company in the world. The chain is most known for its signature menu item, Chickenjoy, which is hand-breaded fried chicken made with a secret marinade.
Jollibee began in the Philippines in 1978 and now has 1300 stores worldwide. Find the nearest location to you here.
