Soccer is the world’s biggest sport, but lately, NYC has been getting more and more involved in the sport!

Earlier this year, we reported that NYNJ will be one of 16 host cities across the United StatesCanada, and Mexico to host World Cup soccer games in 2026. We’re super excited to be a host city and to see how the city will activate for the occasion!

The project will still be privately funded and will also include over 40,000-square-feet of public open space, a hotel, and retail shops that will create new jobs for community residents.
