Raise Your Voice installation at Museum of the City of New York, 104th Street and Fifth Avenue. Raise Your Voice is an immersive installation by Brooklyn-based artist Amanda Phingbodhipakkiya.The project mixes selections from the public art campaign “We Are More,” which depicted the resiliency of New York’s Asian American and Pacific Islander community, with original artwork of activists and allies Yuri Kochiyama and Malcolm X. Installed adjacent to the ongoing exhibition Activist New York, Raise Your Voice poses a series of questions and invites audiences to engage their own powers of advocacy and activism.  Online tickets now available:  LINK

Harlem Bespoke: Get into the season of live performances with uptown’s own Harlem Stage at 150 Convent Avenue by 135th Street on Thursday, June 8th, 8:00PM-10:00PM with bandleader Yasser Tejeda.Harlem Stage celebrates Caribbean-American Heritage Month and Black Music Appreciation Month, in a special collaboration with World Music Institute and the Caribbean Cultural Center African Diaspora Institute.

INTRODUCING: SUNDAY COMEDY LIVE AT SHRINE

Harlem Bespoke: The Brown Sugar Comedy show has been bringing back stand up to the neighborhood and featuring some laughs from local black comedians.  Live comedy night has been added to the lineup at Shrine at 2271 Adam Clayton Powell Boulevard by West 134th Street on Sunday nights starting at 6:00PM.  Our favorite music venue in Harlem has been around for over 10 years and now has a regular in-person show schedule.  Check out the updated calendar on the official website and drop by for some great local music and entertainment on the weekends: LINK
