NYC Is Home To The Best Pizza In The World — Here’s Where To Grab A Slice
Apologies Chicago, Detroit, and beyond: the best pizza in the world is right here in NYC.
Hey, we didn’t make it up — we’re just stating facts.
According to the recently released Top 50 Pizzas in the World, Una Pizza Napoletana took home the gold.
Are we surprised? Nah.
Not only is it one of the best pizza spots in NYC, but the restaurant was also named the best pizza in the country. It’s only natural that the Orchard Street outpost would progress to top global status as well.
New Jersey native Anthony Mangieri championed Neapolitan-style pizza, and now his restaurant is beloved for its naturally-leavened, wood-fired pies. (Oh yeah, there’s homemade ice cream, if you have a sweet tooth and room after your meal.)

The best pizza in the world
So, who followed Anthony’s footsteps and earned a top 10 slot on the list? You might want to grab your passport.

If you still find yourself hungry after perusing the top 10, the 2024 Guide to the Top 50 Pizzas in the World will give you plenty of inspo, with selections near and far.
While we’re certainly delighted to take this slot, it’s worth noting that reservations at Una Pizza Napoletana go quickly, and the team is currently traveling in Italy, so the restaurant is closed until October 3rd. Once October 4th rolls around, you better believe we’ll be lining up for a bite.
If you were thinking about something else for dinner, New Yorkers also just found out that the second-best burger in the world is right here in NYC. (We’ll gladly reclaim that gold medal in 2025.)
