MTA Announces Extra Transit Service For The Yankees’ World Series Games

The New York Yankees are officially in the World Series, and with Game 1 staring tonight (Friday), we can’t help but think about the buzz when the series shifts to The Bronx next week!

With games 3 – 5 set to head to Yankee Stadium next week (October 28th – 30th), the MTA announced today that they will be adding extra service to make it easier for fans to commute to the stadium.

During all three games, all northbound D express trains will be making game day stops at 161 St-Yankee Stadium.

And after the games, the 161 St-Yankee Stadium will be supplied with extra trains to increase capacity at the station and get fans home as soon as possible.

The Metro-North will also be adding extra services to Yankee Stadium on all three lines (Harlem, Hudson, and New Haven lines), and the Bx1, Bx2, Bx6, Bx13, and BxM4 buses all stop near Yankee Stadium as well.

As a reminder, the 2024 World Series begins on the road tonight (October 25) in Los Angeles against the Dodgers, one of NYY’s most fiercest historical rivals. You can see the full schedule below:
