Louis Vuitton To Open Its First Library Café In The U.S. Right In NYC
Fashionistas, foodies, and bibliophiles will all vie for a seat a Le Café, Louis Vuitton’s U.S. debut of its culinary experience — a true feast for the senses.
This elegant retreat is nestled on the fourth floor of the luxury designer’s new Midtown location, 6 East 57th Street, both of which open on Friday, November 15. (Currently, the trunk-covered flagship location is under construction.) Though it might feel a bit premature, we’re fairly certain Le Café, which is in partnership with STARR Restaurants, will land on the list of most beautiful restaurants in NYC.
Expect wall-to-wall books (over 600!), and an elegant Art Deco vibe with nods to Parisian culture. As far as the cuisine, the team executing the “luxury snacking” includes Michelin-star chef Christophe Bellanca and pastry chef Mary George, who hails from DANIEL. Diners will have plenty of decadent options, such as LeCroque “Louis Paris,” which includes white ham, Comté and black truffle, black bass, and a steamed scallop soufflé, among other notable menu selections. Desserts include hazelnut gâteau, pear tarts, and vanilla cake.
“My goal is to create an unforgettable experience where every dessert becomes a personal memory for each guest,” said Mary George. “I imagine our café as a place where clients find joy and connection through our menu and leave with a unique and lasting impression.”
The brand and its latest venture exude luxury and will be a fitting touch to Fifth Avenue. For more information, visit Louis Vuitton online. Reservations open on Resy beginning Saturday, November 16th.
