Green Day Surprises New Yorkers With Impromptu Performance In The Subway

In promotion of their latest studio album, Saviors, Green Day took to the New York City subway system to serenade commuters with a special performance of a few hits!

Like most things in the city, the performance was actually more than just a casual encounter.

The set was part of a segment for tonights episode of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. You can actually see Jimmy himself jamming along with the band in a less than perfect attempt at a disguise.

The band rocked out in the upper level of the 47-50th St-Rockefeller Center subway station during the evening commute as locals headed home from work.

Green Day & Jimmy Fallon put on a 6-song performance that included “Basket Case” and the classic “American Idiot”.

If youre having FOMO from missing the performance, Green Day just announced The Saviors Tour coming to Citi Field in August where they’re performing the albums American Idiot and Dookie in their entirety!
