Fred Again.. Hosts Secret Rave In NYC With Surprise Guest Lil Yachty
Rising UK electronic music superstar Fred again.. made his own form of a NYFW statement last night (February 8) by hosting a surprise performance at The Knockdown Center in Queens.
The pop-up show was quickly announced yesterday afternoon around 1 pm via Fred’s Instagram, with the ticket sales selling out in just one minute.
Fresh off his Grammy award win over the weekend for 2022 album Actual Life 3 (January 1 – September 9 2022), Fred played out an electric DJ set of unreleased tracks, demos, and teasers from his newest project over the course of the night.
The lineup also tapped other rising artists Overmono and AceMoMA, who helped ring in Fred’s first NYC show since his historic Forest Hills Stadium run back in October.
In the most surprising turn of it all, rapper Lil Yachty joined the DJ on stage, sending the crowd into absolute pandemonium. The two performed an unreleased track together that Fred has been teasing for several months.
Fred again.. and his dedicated fanbase made the most out of a surprise evening, proving time and time again that he’s truly trailblazing sounds in the industry right now.
