Danish Cafe, La Cabra, To Open New Location In Bushwick
NYC’s favorite cardamom buns are coming to Bushwick! According to Eater’s first report, Danish cafe, La Cabra, is opening a new location in Bushwick.
This will be the cafe’s third NYC location, but first in Brooklyn. La Cabra opened in NYC’s East Village in 2021 and by spring 2023, the cafe opened another Manhattan location in SoHo. It gained traction for its mouthwatering cardamom buns, a nordic staple that aren’t often found in NYC’s bakeries.

The new location will open up this summer at 1329 Willoughby Avenue, the team told Eater. Similar to the other NYC locations, it will operate as a coffee shop and bakery.
But before any NYC locations existed, La Cabra started in Aarhus, Denmark back in 2012. By 2013, the cafe began sourcing and roasting their own coffee, becoming the globally known coffee roaster they are today.
Additional international locations can be found in Bangkok and Oman.
