Brooklyn Welcomes NYC’s First 100% Electric Skyscraper
If sustainability is your M.O., this brand new NYC skyscraper may interest you for your next place of residence.
New York real estate developer, Alloy Development, is responsible for designing the city’s first all-electric skyscraper, known as 505 State Street. Complete with more than 400 residential units and towering 482 feet tall, 505 State Street’s slogan is “carbon neutral living, without compromise.”

505 State Street’s all-electric boiler is powered by locally renewable energy sources responsible for the building’s heating and cooling systems. Smart features within each residential unit include Ecobee smart thermostats, induction cooktops, and energy efficient fridges, ovens and dishwashers.
Units are already available to lease, with 7.5 foot tall window openings and jaw-dropping views of Downtown Brooklyn.

If its sustainability efforts weren’t enough to convince you this is your dream building, maybe the long list of amenities will. 505 State Street has a yoga studio, pet wash, coffee shop, reservable screening room, rooftop terrace with grill, rooftop pool, reservable cabanas and so much more.

But the all-electric skyscraper is only the first phase of what’s to be known as The Alloy Block, a mixed-use development space containing a total of five old and new buildings centrally located around Flatbush Avenue.
Each building will provide space for either residential, educational, cultural or retail purposes. For example, two new public schools will be constructed in the center of the block fit for 800 students. Moreover, it will provide New Yorkers with 850 available homes and offices for 1,000 people.
You can explore all that’s to come with The Alloy Block on its website.
