This NYC Pop-Up Is Serving A Free Four-Course Thanksgiving Meal That’s All About The Sides

According to a survey by same-day delivery service Shipt, 51% of Americans would rather have a Thanksgiving without a turkey than a Thanksgiving without the sides, and the #1 side dish title goes to, drumroll, please…stuffing.

Well, according to our opinion, that data is 100% correct. So imagine our delight when we found out that the pop-up of our dreams was opening in NYC this month that’s, quite literally, all about the stuffing.

This Thanksgiving, Shipt is teaming up with Michelin Star Chef Charlie Mitchell of Clover Hill in BK (who was nominated for a 2023 James Beard award as Emerging Chef of the year) at an exclusive pop-up restaurant coming to the East Village for two days only.

Aptly dubbed Sides, the pop-up will serve a series of innovative main-dish-worthy stuffing recipes so you don’t have to worry about cooking (and possibly burning) your Thanksgiving feast or having to make a Thanksgiving dinner reservation.

Sides will pop up in the East Village Friday, November 10th through Saturday, November 11th taking over the ever-popular Mister Paradise.

They’ll be serving a completely free four-course meal, and those interested in stuffing themselves with stuffing can make a reservation here.

Before we go we’ll leave you with this tidbit that also came from Shipt’s study and gave us a chuckle–a staggering 81% of Americans agree that the right food at Thanksgiving makes dealing with the notorious family drama worth it.

Heidi Klum Shakes Her Tail Feather (Literally) At Her Annual NYC Halloween Bash

Each year when spooky season hits and the Halloween costumes start to make their appearance there’s one person many of us are on the lookout for–Heidi Klum. Each year she goes all out and completely transform herself to, most times, look completely unidentifiable–and this year was not any different.

Before the party Klum reportedly told TODAY.com that her look this year was “very, very big and very colorful,” and she absolutely was not kidding.

Klum shook her tail feather (literally) this past Tuesday at her annual NYC Halloween bash, fully dressing up as an elaborate peacock with acrobats forming her tail feathers.

To make the costume even more iconic, her husband Tom Kaulitz did his part by dressing up as her egg.

Klum held her first Halloween party back in 2000 and it’s been a celebrity staple event ever since. The supermodel and TV host doesn’t wait until the last minute when it comes to her costume either. Each year she sits through hours of makeup, completely transforming herself into characters that are impossible to forget.

Past getups include Fiona from Shrek, showing up as herself with a pack of clones, Jessica Rabbit from Who Framed Roger Rabbit, and last year’s unforgettable (and creepy to say the least) massive rain worm.

“A lot of planning goes into it,” Klum said according to APNews. “First you have to have an idea. And the idea for me was to do something with many, many people.”

This year Klum’s spooky star-studded party took over NYC’s Marquee nightclub. As usual, an endless swarm of A-listers showed up in their creepiest looks, mingling and dancing to a DJ set by Questlove.

Other celebrity costumes include Camila Cabello dressed in Anne Hathaway’s Mia Thermopolis from Princess Diaries, Becky G dressed as the Corpse Bride, Rachel Zegler dressed as Daphne from Scooby Doo, Maxwell dressed as a vampire, H.E.R. dressed as an astronaut, and Taylor Lautner and his wife, Taylor Dome, dressed as Pete Davidson and Timothée Chalamet’s SNL sketch, among others.

Sadly it seems as if our invite to this year’s party was lost in the mail, but here’s to crossing our fingers for next year!
