Yes, You Can Taste The Krabby Patty Right In NYC — No Visit To Bikini Bottom Required
Looks like Bikini Bottom’s most coveted recipe has made its way to NYC thanks to the Harlem Shake x Krabby Patty Kollaboration. (Or at least an interpretation of it!)
SpongeBob SquarePants is turning 25 — if you can believe it — and to celebrate the occasion, our porous and yellow pal has decided to share his fry cook skills with one of the best burger spots in NYC. To think, Plankton has been pining after the recipe for a quarter century, and here we are, about to revel in The Krusty Krab’s beloved meal. Sorry, Plankton!
All about the Harlem Shake x Krabby Patty Kollaboration
From October 8th to 27th, hungry New Yorkers can order some of SpongeBob’s favorite items:
- A Krabby Patty ($15): Square P(l)ant “Chicken” Patty Grilled Pineapple, Boston bibb lettuce and MeSoSea Sauce on Martin’s Potato Roll
- Krabby Fries ($6): Fries with MeSoSea dip
- Under the Sea Shake ($9): Pineapple Flavored milkshake with whipped cream
All of the goodies are available at both of Harlem Shake’s locations. What’s more, if you find yourself out of town — now’s the time for fall getaways, after all — there are a bunch of cities and eateries participating in the Krabby Patty Collab from coast to coast, and even in London. The “Kollab,” a brainchild of Paramount, has all of the details on its website, if you’re cruising around this autumn.
Fair warning, however: this isn’t quite the exact version of a Krabby Patty. Remember, only SpongeBob can make it.
Regardless, we’re definitely ready to dine like someone who lives in a pineapple under the sea. No need to tell us twice, Mr. Krabs.
Harlem Shake (Manhattan): 100 W. 124th St. at Lenox Ave.

Joby Air Taxis Might Be A New Way To Travel Around NYC
Delayed subways? Bumper-to-bumper traffic? Joby Aviation could make those transportation nightmares a thing of the past in NYC, if you can believe it.
The California-based company ventured east at the beginning of October to provide New Yorkers with a glimpse of its electric air taxis, a.k.a. our potential future commute. The helicopter seats five (one pilot, four riders) and includes several rotors. A few interesting tidbits about the method of transportation:
- It has vertical takeoff and landing
- It can reach up to 200 miles per hour
- It is considered “as quiet as a conversation”
- It has a 100-mile range
- It includes a payload of 1,000 pounds
We were excited to hear that Uber’s launching an airport shuttle service, but this futuristic rideshare takes traveling in one of the most congested cities in the U.S. to new heights, quite literally.
Joby, and one of its counterparts Blade, can cut down your commute time and avoid headaches altogether. But what’s the likelihood of us ordering an air taxi rideshare in the near future? Considering Joby is attempting certification through the Federal Aviation Administration and working with companies like Toyota — a recent donor — Uber, and Delta Airlines, New Yorkers could be en route to JFK à la The Jetsons sooner than they thought.
“[Toyota’s $500 million] investment builds on nearly seven years of collaboration between our companies,” JoeBen Bevirt, founder and CEO, Joby Aviation, said in a statement. “The knowledge and support shared by Toyota has been instrumental in Joby’s success and we look forward to deepening our relationship as we deliver on our shared vision for the future of air travel.”
The wheels are certainly in motion. But for the time being, we’ll remain on the ground and keep you informed about any air taxi update in the near future. That being said, if you’ll excuse us, we’re on our way to catch the train.

New Yorkers are buzzing about the possibility of winning a championship as the New York Liberty head to the 2024 WNBA Finals. As they chase the first championship in franchise history, the excitement is through the roof.
With Sabrina Ionescu leading the charge, the Liberty defeated the defending champions, the Las Vegas Aces. It has been quite a week for basketball fans in NYC. Now, the Liberty are preparing to take on the Connecticut Sun or Minnesota Lynx in what promises to be a thrilling Finals matchup.
How did the Liberty qualify?
The Liberty clinched their spot in the Finals with a decisive 76-62 victory in Game 4 against the Aces. They won the series 3-1, not needing to play a decisive Game 5. Ionescu was key in the win, scoring 22 points, grabbing seven rebounds, and hitting five three-pointers.
After dropping Game 3, the team rebounded with a dominant performance, showing they have the depth and resilience to go all the way.
With only one game left to find out who the Liberty will play, the official start of the WNBA Finals is Thursday, October 10. The first two games are in Brooklyn, with Game 2 on Sunday, October 13.
The WNBA Finals will begin in Brooklyn at the Barclays Center. And with the Liberty’s best regular season record, they secured home-court advantage throughout the 2024 playoffs and WNBA Finals.
Who are the Liberty facing in the WNBA Finals?
The New York Liberty will face the winner of the Connecticut Sun and Minnesota Lynx. They are now tied at 2-2, so they will meet in a decisive Game 5. This game will determine which team will advance to the WNBA Finals and face the New York Liberty.

This is the second year in a row that the Liberty have reached the Finals. Surely, with Ionescu’s leadership, the team is focused on achieving what has eluded them for 27 years. On that note, fans are asking, “Can the Liberty finally win it all?” With the momentum they’ve built, this could be our year.
