This Williamsburg Affordable Housing Lottery Offers Waterfront Views Up To 565 Feet High

Nestled next to Domino Park with sprawling views of the East River, a new Williamsburg affordable housing lottery has opened to plenty of pomp and circumstance.

346 Kent Avenue, a two-tower residential project, is the brainchild of Selldorf Architects and stands at a massive 565 feet tall — the 20th tallest building underway in the city, according to New York YIMBY “Yes In My Backyard”.

All about 346 Kent Avenue

There are plenty of impressive accolades attached to the new Williamsburg residences, and that’s not even taking the building’s interior into account. What can interested renters expect from this impressive, modern project? A few perks of the studio, 1, 2, and 3-bedroom building — some of which cost an extra fee — include:

  • In-unit washer-dryers
  • Floor-to-ceiling windows
  • A fitness center
  • A children’s playroom
  • A residential lounge
  • An aquatics center

The 55-story tower has just been listed on NYC Housing Connect, and prospective renters have until December 10th, 2024 to apply. This is one of the pricier finds on the list of affordable housing units, as the eligible income ranges from $100,012 – $240,750 and household sizes ranges from one to seven people.

Studios start at $2,832 followed by one bedrooms at $3,030, two bedrooms at $3,623, and three bedrooms at $4,173. Given that the median rent in Williamsburg ranges from $4,184 — $5,315, this is a decrease, but still quite hefty.

While it might be one of the more ambitious listings on Housing Connect, you’ll be pleased to learn there are $600 units available at a Madison Avenue affordable housing lottery (the lottery ends on November 6th, 2024) and $800 units available at the Gowanus affordable housing lottery, which ends on October 28th, 2024.
