The Jury Experience in NYC is an immersive courtroom experience where you’re not just watching the trial—you’re living it. Over the course of 60 minutes, an emotionally-charged hearing unfolds before your very eyes. You’ll find yourself on the jury as a key player, dissecting witness testimonies and carefully examining the evidence. But just when you’re ready to reach a verdict, the defense challenges all your assumptions with unpredictable twists.
On selected dates, this simulated courtroom drama is set to take place at Irondale in Brooklyn. There is limited availability so don’t wait too long before getting your ticket or you might not guarantee your spot in the jury. Will you be the voice of reason or the wildcard who flips the room on its head?
The Jury Experience is both an immersive courtroom drama and a crash course in morality. As you navigate a fun and at times, nerve-wracking trial, you’ll witness convincing performances by professional actors, unpack evidence and hear the lawyers’ opening and closing arguments. Packed with twists and turns, this 60-minute simulated trial might just change the way you think about justice.
The Space at Irondale will be transformed into a courtroom to make the whole experience more realistic. Deciding someone’s fate is a pretty serious job but you’ll have all the evidence presented on a cinematic screen so that you can closely examine every piece of the puzzle. At the end, you’ll vote and (hopefully) justice will be served.
There will be two sessions at The Space at Irondale scheduled for 6:00pm and 8:30pm so you can choose the one that best suits you. This isn’t jury duty so there is really no excuse for missing The Jury Experience.
Court is officially in session and the jury has been sworn in. Has the jury reached a verdict?

While there are plenty of things to do in NYC this Christmas, we regret to inform you that the Saks Fifth Avenue Holiday Light Show will not be one of them — a fact travel bloggers and NYC influencers revealed on Monday, November 11th.
According to reports from the high-end retailer’s reps, the Midtown store has “for some time contemplated changing [our] approach.”
“In our 100th year, which also marks the anniversary of the flagship, we are celebrating the season by honoring the architectural significance of this iconic building, elegantly illuminating the façade and framing the holiday windows, as well as highlighting the fashion for which Saks Fifth Avenue is known,” a statement read.
While the lights will be dimmed in 2024, a decadent holiday window display debuted on November 25th. the store’s windows have been adorned with gold, glittering lights and each features gorgeous clothing from the world’s most famous brands, all part of its “Gifts of Delight” campaign, which asks shoppers to rethink how they consume during the holidays.
“The holiday season is a special and important time for Saks, and we are excited to debut our holiday windows, which aim to inspire customers through a compelling fashion narrative,” said Emily Essner, Saks’ Chief Marketing Officer.
In addition to the new approach, beginning December 5th, Saks will debut a new jewelry collection with pieces that are 100 carats, and a Ralph’s coffee shop will set up shop until the 1st of January.
Last year, the holiday windows and light show was a collaboration between the retailer and Dior, and included a bit of Parisian flair. Jennifer Lawerence, the face of Dior, even made her way to NYC for the unveiling in 2023.
It will definitely feel a bit empty in Midtown, especially now that the store’s neighbor, the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree arrived on November 9th and is gearing up for its December 4th tree lighting. It feels odd to forgo such a longstanding NYC holiday tradition.
However, if you’re craving a fun, festive, and illuminating spectacle, we’ve rounded up the best holiday light displays in NYC to help fill the void. Additionally, a 30-foot-tall snowflake will grace Fifth Avenue this holiday season, so it won’t feel entirely bleak in the area, especially considering it’s a 3,300-pound twinkling snowflake with 16,500 individual crystal prisms.
We promise, there are plenty of celebratory experiences to be had, despite this unexpected news.

Although Thanksgiving has come and gone with no trace of snow, we are still hoping for a white Christmas. Our wish might come true… and then some: according to a report by the New York Post, upstate New York could get up to six feet of “extreme” snow in the next few weeks.
“Every morning is going to be essentially below freezing for the next, at least 10 days, maybe two weeks,” Fox Weather meteorologist Cody Braud told The Post this past holiday weekend. “And our afternoon highs are going to be in the low to mid-40s every day as well for this entire week.”
Get your snow boots, hats and heavy jackets ready, folks: it’s going to be very cold out there.
At the moment, it’s snowing pretty heavily in upstate New York, mainly due to what experts call a lake effect (cold air moves across the Great Lakes’ open waters, it rises and produces clouds that lead to heavy snow).
The weather pattern even prompted Governor Kathy Hochul to declare a state of emergency in multiple area counties.
“As New Yorkers face this lake effect snowstorm, I urge New Yorkers in impacted regions to remain vigilant and avoid unnecessary travel,” the politician said earlier this weekend. “My administration is working around the clock with our state agencies and over 100 National Guard members on the ground to support local communities. Please heed travel advisories and look out for one another. Together, we will weather this storm.”
Although specific predictions are still up in the air, experts are warning that frigid temperatures may lead to some flurries across NYC as early as this Wednesday as well.
According to the National Weather Service, annual snowfall in Central Park in 2022 and 2023 was 2.3 inches. The year after that, the number climbed to 7.5—which is still a far cry from the 38.6 inches that we enjoyed back in 2020 and 2021.
Although definite snow is not (yet?) predicted in these parts of New York, experts do warn that the lake-effect might end up affecting Manhattan and surrounding areas as well, bringing in frigid temperatures alongside possible flurries.
