An Epic Super Bowl Exhibit Has Opened At The Paley Museum
Whether you watch the Super Bowl for the half-time performance, commercials, or the actual football game, the annual event is one of the most viewed telecasts in the U.S. each year. This year’s Super Bowl LVIII is scheduled for Sunday, February 11, 2024. It will be played at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.
In honor of game day, tons of NYC bars offer epic deals; but this year, New Yorkers can explore an extra special Super Bowl exhibit! Titled Beyond the Big Game, the exhibit is now on view at The Paley Museum in partnership with the National Football League (NFL) and the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Some exhibit highlights include unmissable photos moments with the highly coveted Vince Lombardi Trophy and all 57 team rings from each championship-winning team, in addition to Halftime Show sets from The Weeknd and Katy Perry—and yes the Shark and Beachball will be there too!
To make the exhibit even more exciting, The Paley Museum will showcase rare artifacts such as helmets, game balls and uniforms from previous Super Bowls on loan from the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
And even if you soley watch the Super Bowl for the game, you must admit those commercials are damn entertaing each year. And for the first time in history, a public exhibit of memorable Super Bowl commercials from the past 50 years from the renowned Paley Archive will be featured at Beyond the Big Game.
Don’t forget to mark your calendar for February 10th (just before game day) to see a screening of the only known original broadcast of Super Bowl 1 that shows the Green Bay Packers’ victory over the Kansas City Chiefs, plus some of the very first Super Bowl Commercials.
Fun family-friendly activities will also be ongoing, including an EA Madden NFL 24 e-sports gaming tournament, Super Bowl–themed arts & crafts, photos ops, and interactive trivia.
