Affordable German Grocery Store, Lidl, To Open Another Queens Location

German grocery chain, Lidl, is set to open a brand new location in Queens Place Mall on Wednesday, January 24th.

It will take over a former DSW that closed down in 2022. According to QNS, the new store location at 88-01 Queens Blvd. in Elmhurst, Queens will span 35,000 square feet, taking over the entire lower level of the mall.

The chain is beloved for it’s incredibly affordable prices. At Lidl, new deals come out every Wednesday. Shoppers can peruse a wide range of fresh bakery items, perfectly ripe produce and non-food item essentials.

You won’t want to miss out on the grand opening for the chance to win free samples, Lidl swag and more. Plus, if you’re one of the first 100 customers, you’ll receive a Lidl gift card that can range anywhere from $5-100!

The Queens Place Mall location will be the borough’s second Lidl, after the chain first expanded to Astoria back in April 2021. Lidl also has a Manhattan location in Harlem, and a new Chelsea location slated for 2025, in addition to Brooklyn’s first location coming this year.
