This Brooklyn Music Venue Is On The Verge Of Closing, Here’s How You Can Help
Bushwick bar and venue Our Wicked Lady is not making ends meet and is on the verge of closing! The owners have set up a GoFundMe account where people can contribute what they can.
From rooftop shows, intimate concerts, karaoke, and more, Our Wicked Lady is a go-to spot for so many in (and out) of the Bushwick community. They opened in 2015 and in the present day, they are transparent on how the future could look.
“We are facing closure. But we want to save Our Wicked Lady and its community, even if that means giving it up. Our plan is to find people (who share our vision) to either buy the business or partner up to keep it going. But these things take time and we’re rapidly running out of time,” their GoFundMe page states.
This past weekend there were benefit shows where proceeds also went to efforts to keep the space open! On their calendar of shows there are also a benefit show every Wednesday this month. There’s also cute merch to be had!. All donations will go to supporting Our Wicked Lady and OWL Studios (their rehearsal space).
Our Wicked Lady is located at 153 Morgan Ave., between Scholes and Meserole streets. Go for a concert, support a benefit show or just grab a bite to eat and a drink to show some love!
