U.S. Passport Holders Can Travel Visa-Free To These 116 Destinations Around The World
As Europe and the UK begin to tighten restrictions on entry for Americans in 2025, planning your next vacation may not be as easy as you’d hope. But, thankfully, there are tons of places around the world where Americans can still enter visa-free!
For instance, the first airline to operate out of JFK’s brand new Terminal 6 will fly travelers straight to Tokyo, and Air Canada is currently giving out free flights to stressed Americans–and both Japan and Canada offer visa-free travel for Americans.
A Powerful Passport
According to the Arton Capital Passport Index, the U.S. passport currently ranks as the 8th most powerful passport globally and has a mobility score of 173, which measures the total number of countries that can be easily accessed with that passport. Moreover, a U.S. passport allows travelers to enter into 116 countries sans obtaining a visa beforehand.
With that being said, there are still restrictions on how long travelers can stay in each country. The longest you can stay in any of the 116 countries is 360 days, though only a few countries allow a stay that long. Most countries allow visits ranging from 90 to 180 days.
The countries offering visa-free travel for U.S. citizens can be seen below:
