NYC’s Most Famous Deli Takes You Back To The 1930s With ‘Deli After Dark’
Acclaimed for its celebrity clientele and rich NYC history, Carnegie Deli, is teaming up with the equally iconic, landmark NoHo bar, Temple Bar, on National Repeat Day to revive NYC’s Golden Age with a limited-time pop-up called “Deli After Dark.”
Carnegie Deli first opened its doors back in 1937. Loved for its deli classics like cheesecake, and larger-than-life pastrami and corned beef sandwiches, the Jewish delicatessen soon acquired an impressive celebrity following, feeding the mouths of everyone from Adam Sandler to Stephen Spielberg.
Meanwhile, Temple Bar first came on to the scene in 1989. While staying true to its original design with its oak bar and velvet drapes over its 35-year history, its intimate ambiance makes it one of NYC’s most romantic bars. Plus, don’t forget to take a peek at the disco ball that once belonged in Andy Warhol’s studio!
The special “Deli After Dark” pop-up will reinvent Carnegie Deli’s most popular menu items into unforgettable cocktails and bites.
Have your choice of sipping on a “Pickletini” prepared with Vermouth, Carnegie Deli pickle brine, and a Carnegie Deli pickle garnish, or the “Pastrami Rye” made with Carnegie Deli pastrami spice, Cocchi Americano, Licor 43 and an oragne twist, all while biting into Knish n’ Caviar, Loaded Disco Fries and so much more.
“We’re thrilled to partner with Temple Bar to create a truly unique and nostalgic experience,” says Sarri Harper, co-owner of Carnegie Deli. “Both Carnegie Deli and Temple Bar hold a special place in New York City history, and this pop-up is a celebration of that shared heritage.”
Deli After Dark is kicking off the start of December, from the 2nd to the 5th, taking over Temple Bar for four nights only. Book your spot for Deli After Dark once reservations go live on Resy later this November.
