Biden & Harris Expected To Visit New York Tomorrow In Remembrance Of 9/11

September 11, 2024 will mark the 23rd anniversary of the devastating 2001 attacks. From the annual “Tribute in Light” to the September 11, 2001 Commemoration and all other ways New York is remembering 9/11, it’s believed the President and Vice President will make an appearance in NYC as well.

Harris will already be on the East Coast for tonight’s presidential debate happening in Philadelphia, and President Biden is expected to join her tomorrow in New York City. Biden had spent last year’s anniversary on an Alaskan military base after making a stop at all three sites in 2021. Meanwhile, Harris has observed the anniversary in NYC for the past two years.

“You will see the president and vice president next week together as they mourn the thousands of lives that were lost on that day and also the first responders who obviously put their lives on the line to protect Americans on that day,” shared White House press secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre.

Local political leader’s whereabouts, including Governor Kathy Hochcul and Mayor Eric Adams, have yet to be confirmed for tomorrow.

For anyone interested in watching the 23rd Commemoration tomorrow morning, it will begin at 8:30am on Memorial plaza and can be streamed here.

At night, keep your eyes out for the Tribute in Light that will shine two commemorative blue beams into NYC skies from dusk until dawn. Not nearby Lower Manhattan? No worries, you’ll be able to see the lights from a 60-mile radius.
