Mountain Dew Will Pay You $10K To Relocate To The Mountain Time Zone
If you’ve been house hunting you may want to start searching in the Mountain Time Zone because five lucky people interested in making the western trek will receive $10,000 to do so! And considering us New York City dwellers are paying 164% more than the average American to live here, now is looking like a pretty good time to take the cross-country plunge.
We know it sounds too good to be true, but it’s not! The offer is due to Mountain Dew’s new mission to encourage fans to “get off their asses and live life to the fullest.” The soda brand has officially adopted the Mountain Time Zone as its own, claiming that those who live there are happier–that’s according to measurement platform StatSocial who says Mountain Time Zone dwellers are +6% more cheerful than the typical American.
And they’re taking their “DO THE DEW” slogan a step further by rewarding five lucky people who make the move to find out for themselves if the grass really is greener on the otherside.
Now through December 31st, 2024, anyone who crosses into the time zone–whether by plane, train, car, or on foot–can get a free 20-ounce Mountain Dew in any flavor as long as they’ve previously registered with their email online. And five lucky people who really enjoy their trip and decide to stay for good will win free Mountain Dew for a year, branded outdoor gear, and $10,000 to cover the cost of their move.
In the United States, Mountain Time Zone includes the entire area of the states of New Mexico, Wyoming, Utah, Colorado, and Montana. It also includes parts of Idaho, Oregon, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Texas, Kansas, and Nevada.
JP Bittencourt, Vice President of Marketing at Mountain Dew, stated:
With the great outdoors at the core of everything we do, we want to encourage everyone to embrace the Mountain Time mindset by giving away free Mountain Dew to anyone who crosses into the Mountain Time Zone. Additionally, we want to reward those who take the leap and move to the happiest time zone in the country with their friends by paying for their move.
As a brand “born in the great outdoors,” Mountain Dew, along with their new brand character The Mountain Dude, are hoping to get fans outside and close to nature and its sights, sounds, and smells of the mountains. Those interested in submitting an entry must follow specific requirements.
