A New 6-Day Music Festival Makes Its Governors Island Debut This Summer
As the first 7pm sunset of the year inches closer and the days slowly (but surely) get longer, all we can think about is one thing–the nicer weather. And this brand new music festival is stealing some sunshine from our friends over in Miami and bringing it to NYC!
Founded in 2022, the adult-oriented music festival, dubbed We Belong Here, pitched themselves as a festival for those who had outgrown the current festival and club scene, and this summer they’re bringing a stacked lineup of performers to NYC’s Governor’s Island for the first time.
Spread out across two weekends, festival goers can indulge in amazing lineups curated by talented DJs and live performances along with premium curated experiences.
The lineup will include sets by Le Youth, Simon Doty, Bakermat, Korolova, and Nora Van Elken, just to name a few. Plus more artists will be announced soon.
And We Belong Here does things a bit different than most music festivals: their events forgo the usage of LED screens in favor of focusing on immersive decorative lighting that complement to the venue space–perfect since Governors Island offers stunning 360-degree views of the NYC skyline!
Moreover, attendees will find a spacious and comfortable dance floor, luxury restrooms, fast check in, premium food and beverage offerings, free water and seating areas to rest your legs after all that dancing.
Ticket prices start at $40 for Early Arrival Gold Admission, which includes early admission into the event as well as round trip ferry transportation, among other perks.
The most expensive ticket option is the Platinum Weekend 1 & 2 Pass for $500. This pass includes access to all events, the highest level of amenities and access possible, and round trip ferry transportation.
Table reservations are also available.
So, mark your calendars because We Belong Here is the perfect celebration to kick off the summer in NYC! Learn more about the festival here.
