NYCFC’s 2024 Away Jersey Is A Tribute To New York’s Non-Stop Hustle
We’ve been on the edge of our seats waiting as the Major League Soccer season gears up for its 29th season!
If you’re unfamiliar with our newest local team, New York City Football Club (NYCFC), it is an American professional soccer team that competes in MLS in the Eastern Conference of the League. It was announced as the League’s 20th franchise on May 21, 2013, and is the first and only MLS Club located within the five boroughs of New York City!
Currently, NYCFC plays at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, but in just a few short years, their very own soccer stadium will be up and running in Queens!
But as we know, NYCFC wouldn’t be a real NYC team if it wasn’t serious about being fashionable.
Today, New York City FC has unveiled its new 2024 away jersey via Instagram.
The City That Never Sleeps needed a jersey to match its electric energy! The kit features a black base with neon orange and bright blue accents that pay tribute to the bright lights of the city at nighttime.
“The new kit is a tribute to New York’s non-stop hustle, vibrant nightlife, and dynamic energy. It’s designed to be more than just a game-day uniform. It reflects the city’s spirit of moving seamlessly from one activity to another — whether it’s hitting the bars, playing soccer with friends, or grabbing a slice of pizza.”
You can represent New York City FC all day and all night in the new 2024 24/7 Kit. This New York City FC jersey features AEROREADY technology along with ventilated and mesh panels to keep you feeling great on and off the pitch.
To get you in the spirit, the reveal kicks off a two-day pop-up event in Chelsea from Friday, February 16 to February 17.
The event aims to capture the city’s relentless energy, mirrored in the design of the new jersey. Highlights include a display of the ‘24/7 Kit’, captured by the acclaimed photographer Timothy McGurr, known as 13thwitness, and video content led by STADE, a production company founded by former New York City FC player Ethan White.
The fashion show was curated by multidisciplinary artist Gianni Lee, the Club’s newly appointed art and culture consultant and the event will also feature a concert by New York-native rapper Remy Ma.
