From The Comedic Minds Behind ‘The Play That Goes Wrong’, ‘Mind Mangler’ Makes Its Way To NYC

Gear up for some laughs, oddities and a whole lot of fun in the off-Broadway comedy Mind Mangler: A Night of Tragic Illusion, from the creators of The Play That Goes Wrong and Peter Pan Goes Wrong. After a series of sold-out performances in the West End, the UK production is here in NYC for a limited engagement run!

The magic and antics take place at New World Stages located at 340 West 50th Street. Tickets are currently available to this raucous play that will leave you mystified and laughing long after it’s over!

The show stars the original London cast. Henry Lewis plays The Mind Mangler – also known as the “medal-winning master of minds” (or so he claims). Jonathan Sayer plays the character of The Stooge (the not-so-secretly-placed audience volunteer).

Lewis along with Sayer and Henry Shields are the writers. Mind Mangler: A Night of Tragic Illusion is not their first collaboration though. Each are members of the award-winning Mischief Theater company and have written and performed in unique productions together such as The Play That Goes Wrong and Peter Pan Goes Wrong, both of which have played on Broadway.

Mind Mangler first premiered in Scotland at the 2022 Fringe Festival and went on to have a successful tour in England. Now, NYC gets a taste of the wacky Mind Mangler and his nutty antics. However, the side-splitting comedy is only here for 16 weeks!
